Well thanks, but I'm hoping it'll get significantly better!! The FF sensor should yield some tangible results in many ways.

B&H already charged me for the preorder! I thought their policy was to not charge until the item has shipped?

They put an authorization charge on mine too, then it went away a few days later.

Who is pre-ordering either the BG-E11 or GP-E2 ? Seems like Adorama doesn't have either, but B&H and Amazon have both.

They do an "authorization" as I understand it... which should show "pending" on your card until it drops off a few days later.... Then they actually "charge" the card upon shipping.

They may be accepting pre-orders, but I don't believe they'll actually be shipping until late April. Which sucks, I haven't shot without a grip in like 3 years, so the first month with my 5D3 is going to feel weird.

Yep I know, and yes will feel weird to me too, one of my backup 5Ds didn't have a grip and using it felt really weird, even with just a 24-105 on it lol.

Anyone else get the iPad 3 as well? 2048x1536 in that small screen and able to display 18 mP images. Ipad3/5dm3 combo is going to be greeat

Yep! It's a painful month.. lol

gonna wait to see the trial runs and all the bugs first

Oh well, just spent another $630 on BG-E11 and GP-E2 .....

I mentioned that to another user and it was pointed out that the warranty wouldn't be covered in other countires. If they ever had an issue they would have to ship it back to the U.S. and deal with all that stuff.

Not if you purchase an International Warranty at the same time!

It will display them, but not an 18MP.
The new iPad has a 3.1MP screen - still not too shabby

Helen, do you have a rough estimate (going by past releases) of how many people cancel preorders? IOW, for every 100 preorders what would you estimate the percentage of cancellations? I know of some people who have placed as many as five preorders with different dealers for the same new body.
