Did you check the order status on their site? Mine immediately went to "cancelled" status right after I called them this morning. If not in your case a HUGE drop on their CSR.

lol, well, I cancelled my order after I made sure there were some in stock locally, and when I called I asked if he had an idea of when it would come or no and he said looks like my order would not go out until early to mid April as they had gotten plenty of orders but very little stock. I asked him if I could cancel the order and he said no problem.

Yeah, I loaded the page on my phone, showed backordered, called them, while I was talking to him I refreshed once and it still showed backordered, when he cancelled and I hung up, I refreshed again and it showed Canceled.

Yes I did, it didn't show up on the CC until later today, I'm not too worried about it, it's still showing as pending on the CC ...

So like I said earlier when I saw the delay on later B&H orders was likely to be more than a week I ordered from Beach instead (about 4 hours ago). It was a great deal as they even had discounted shipping, $10 for 2 day.... I got my shipping confirmation about 20 minutes ago, and immediately did a CS support chat with B&H to cancel my order with them.

I have to say the B&H CS was great. He canceled that order, and moved the discounted Adobe Lightroom 4 I had on that order to my 24-70L II order... And the website updated to reflect all that immediately. B&H is still my favorite, but my own tardiness in ordering forced me to go another way for this one purchase. Either way, looking forward to next week with a great deal of anticipation.

I just bought a body-only from Norman....went ground as I couldn't justify the overnight cost.

should i change my mind? ;)

It's funny that you asked. My buddy orders from them all the time. I bought a small item from them last year (can't remember what it was) and I was going to have it shipped overnight. He said "don't. Trust me. If you take their free shipping, you'll get it next day." Sure enough, I got it the next day.

argh, mine is set to arrive tomorrow via UPS. I leave tomorrow AM for a project in NH I've been working on all winter. We leave at 11am. My driver never comes that early... I tried calling UPS, they won't change the service to hold it at the hub for me. B&H has to do it since it hasn't had an attempted delivery yet. Anyone ever call B&H and ask for that? UPS told me to sign up for some online service where I might be able to do it, but I have to wait 90 minutes to see if that option will work.

edit: just called B&H, they can't do anything until after the first delivery attempt either. Looks like my 5Diii will sit at UPS for the weekend.

all I keep seeing is how its $1400 MORE than the Mark 2.

which I think is just plain stupid.

maybe ill order one...

maybe ill order a custom made cast silver mouthpiece for my baritone sax...

I am 100% sure of which will yield more 'action.'

I'm tempted to order one from an authorized retailer Ebay because of the $100 discount good for today only. But all of them have kits and no bodies.

You can't change it thru "MyUPS" I tried before, only B&H can, but I think UPS charges them $20 to do so. Another reason why I like FedEx more lol

yeah but the distance from Michigan to Chicago is pretty minimal...when i order from B&H it's the same deal...i pay regular ground UPS and it's typically arriving the next day.
