local camera shop had one in stock today. i would have bought it but some guy was fondling it. i'll wait for the sealed one. i decided to get one of these and keep the 1Div instead of getting the 1Dx.

My Amazon order has now shipped.

Recap: body only ordered March 2nd, "Shipping Soon" status at 2pm today, delivery notification email received at 11pm tonight for UPS delivery Friday (am in So. Florida )

The stock must be more plentiful than what was first thought. I didn't even preorder and my ups email said its scheduled to deliver on the 26th. I just bought it today from Abe's of Maine. Canon knows everyone and their grandma has been waiting on this camera. I think they would have been shooting themselves in the foot if they didn't stock up for release date. I probably would've said screw it, and keep my 7d if I knew I had to wait several months for one.
