I just replaced my RRS BH-25 with the Markins Q3T ballhead and noticed that the ballhead knob (the big knob) has a fair amount of rotational play in it when in any position from locked to unlocked. I am noticing about 3mm in play and was wondering if anyone else who has the Q3T has experienced the same thing. Thanks.

I have two of these ballheads and they both have rotational play. I seem to recall someone here asking this question of Markins and as I recall they replied that it's normal. I assume your 3mm means 1.5mm at each end, 3mm of play at one end would be a bit much I think.

Yep, mine does too. Never been a problem nor made a bit of difference. I wouldnt worry about it one bit and be happy that you have a stronger and much more stable head upgrade!
