Does anyone have experience with the vello vertical grips compared to the canon grip, specifically for a 5d MK II.

The fact that they have the rubberized battery door was what sold me over the other 3rd party grips. I'm finding myself not fully sold on the battery grips in general since they're more squarish on the hold instead of the curve found on the 1D series - It feels slightly awkward to me.
