Vello vs. Canon

Does anyone have experience with the vello vertical grips compared to the canon grip, specifically for a 5d MK II.

I use a vello grip on my t2i, and it works and feels great.

I hear on the 5d, though, that it feels cheaper because the materials of the vello aren't up to par with the 5d really, and it doesn't feel that great in your hands. On my t2i, because it is made of cheaper materials it matches up fine and works fine and I couldn't justify paying double for the canon one, I didn't really care about the whole 3rd party aspect. I'd say wait to hear from a 5d user as well, but for the 5d I'd spend the extra money on the canon one.

I actually have the Vello 5D2 grip. It works as it should. The fact that they have the rubberized battery door was what sold me over the other 3rd party grips. I'm finding myself not fully sold on the battery grips in general since they're more squarish on the hold instead of the curve found on the 1D series - It feels slightly awkward to me.

I'd get the genuine BG-E6, the magnesium chassis makes the grip stiffer and it's better able to handle the weight of the body and lens
