First if all I did not take these photos, I am just helping out a freind who is in them.

Well, I agreed to help out a friend, who had a photo taken because he just got elected to city council of a suburb near where I live.

In his first campaign and running for any political office, he demolished the competition and raised more money than all long time incumbents. The cities marketing department, calls him up and asks him if he can come and gets his photo taken early the next morning for PR, the city website, and other few other places.

So he goes and gets this photo taken, and is sent the image later in the day, and he now knows he should have went and go a haircut and stuff, but its too lates now.

So he calls me up and explains all this to me and asks me if I can give him a "haircut" in photoshop. I told him I would give it a try. ;)

He sent me the high original file from a 20D.

I first ran Sharpening mask over the entire image, to give it a little more pop. I edited the hair, trimmed it up to make it not as messy. and then had to clean up the background.

In Version 2, I used the Clone tool, Healing, and Digital GEM, to clean up the skin, with a mask, to not touch the eyes and rest of the photo.
I then sent him Version 1 and Version 2, to see what he likes better. He disliked how rounded the hir was, and also the hair part "chasm" was looking all odd. But he liked the skin and face. So i went back and reworked the hair , to add more hair and take a away the part, and add a few jaggged edge spikes in there.

But before I sent him the final version, I had to have fun with him, and made this. I told him, if I ever really needed anything done by the city council or he raised the taxes more, I would release this photo of him and tell everyone he is really bald and wears a hair peice.:D

Good job fixing the colic in his hair. Only thing I noticed right away was the shine on his face but the lack of it on his nose. Looks like he had it powder puffed. Please only take this with a grain of salt. And yes, the bald look is very funny.

The last one is proof that you have entirely too much time on your hands.
