Basically, I have an old Tivo unit and was wondering if I could rig it up with something like this. My sole purpose for doing this is because we have an animal in our back woods that's coming at night making a bunch of noise. I think it's a panther (which we've seen before near our house) My wife thinks it's a coyote (which we've also seen around the neighborhood). My neighbor is convinced it's deer (also popular in our neck of the woods). I would like to be certain it's not the first 2 mentioned. I'm hoping it's a deer but I would like to make sure without actually sitting on my back porch waiting for whatever it is to attack.
My overall goal is to be able to move the camera around whenever we hear the noise so we can see what's making the noise. I've seen this camera work at night and it works great. I just need a recording device for it.
Any ideas? Will my Tivo work with a camera like this?
