Taken at Ash Is, near Maitland, on my trip down there. My friend and I took the unknown looooong way back to the car, and came across this guy. He was at the bottom of a rock wall, so first shot was to get one in, and then the fun began, scrambling down the rocks, and trying to hold huey, and balance him as I had taken off the tripod. So the rocks became my tripod. Lucky the bird was quite chilled, I was so sure he would take off when I started climbing down, but thankfully he didn't, and he even let me get quite close.

Those are very good Tina, I'm also surprised you could get close to a Cormorant. The ones round here wouldn't want to know!

Very Pretty shot Tina. Sure is different than the Cormorants we have around here. Be careful with Huey on the rocks! :)

Very nice shots Tina, I agree with Craig, the ones here will take off if you look in their direction.

He sure gave you a couple of great poses Tina, they both look like they were shot in a studio... excellent look at a bird I have never seen before... beautifully composed.

Fabulous Cormorant series Tina! I really like the foot in #2. He sure looks chilled and not bothered by your present. What a cool lad! :D

Oh my, this already gives me goosebumps. I guess that's normal because it is a similar feeling to a new parent carrying the baby for the first time eh.

Cool shots of a neat bird. Looks better than our cormorants. I would be very nervous with that lens in situtions like that.
