Thanks to Don1 for telling us about the Great Horned Owl chicks at Kapok Park in Clearwater. I finally made it there and got a few shots, although the owls were high in the tree, surrounded by leaves and Spanish moss.

That second one is hilarious, Stan :) Nice job.

If the weather holds, we're heading to a local reserve on sunday that is supposed to have an active GHO nest near by; if we can find them, it would be my first view of these guys in the wild...

Another happy ending to a trip Stan :)... getting images of owl chicks is a special moment, a rarity I would say... lot's of personality in that second shot with mom looking on... fine shooting my friend.
