Its about time I finished editing all of the pictures I like from my trip to Nagano's "Snow Monkey Park" in early February.

This is a natural park, so the monkeys get to roam around and enjoy the natural hot springs. They're not camera shy, but they don't interact with people either.

If you're ever in Japan and want to visit here, its called 地獄谷 (jigokudani) in Nagano Prefecture.

Thanks a lot! That's also my favorite one since it captures a lot of emotions/feelings.

On my list of places I would like to visit. I really like the first one best though, and of course the kids playing are always fun.

One of the places I want to visit when I'm back in Japan. Was it easy getting there from Tokyo? I think its a series of trains and buses.

From Tokyo, there's a really direct route. You take the Nagano Shinkansen to Nagano Station (less than 2 hours I believe).
From there, you transfer onto the Nagano Electric Railway ("nagano dentetsu sen" 長野電鉄線) and ride it until the very last stop, Yudanaka Onsen (ゆだなか おんせん). There's a direct bus from the station that will take you to the Monkey Park.

Its quite easy to make it a 3/4 day trip there.

Thanks for the kind words! The steam from the hot spring made a lot of good images fuzzy though.

Simply beautiful - all of them.

I'd love to go to Japan some day. If I ever get there, this park is on the list.
