My first post on this site so a big hello from the Republic of Ireland.
I'm interested in all aspects of photography with a leaning more towards
people, rather than landscapes. I hope to pick up some advice & tips
& enjoy seeing peoples images from around the world.

1/32 sec, f/5, ISO 100

those settings are going to make sharp image with lots of detail tricky. As you didn't use flash I would have increased the ISO to 800 to get a faster shutter speed and smaller aperture UNLESS you were using a tripod?
Of course there are times when a shallow depth of field is more interesting so not a hard and fast rule.
