Of course I realize that our common birds don't appear everywhere, just as some of the birds found all over never show here. These guys were fairly close, maybe 25 feet, with heavy bushes between us. I had the challenge of finding a hole in the shrubbery that allowed a view of the bird. Then, the large rocks placed along the shore to minimize erosion were partially in the scene.
