Super ... I should be around most of tomorrow (Monday.)

Sorry Dwight, I was buried with a doc app't I forgot about then work and got put on a research proj by the GM...can't tell him, ummmm, no?? hahaha.

I did not get home until about 1AM and slept until a glorious 11:30AM....whew, I guess I was sorta-kinda worn out...I need to work on that if I am gonna hang in there at the BBQ huh? hahahaha...then again I have to work Friday night before the BBQ so I have to drag my happy behind home to sleep...hey, wait a minute!!! I am gonna be on the perfect pre-party schedule...working mids the Thursday-Friday before the BBQ!! so ya all best be AWAKE and take your naps in the afternoon, I'll just be waking up when things get going good...hehehehe

Anyway, I work again on Thursday night so can be in town early, I usually am anyway. I can sleep in on Thursday and be in town around 3pm or so...does that work for ya? Otherwise I am off today and tomorrow I can drive over either is better for ya...gimme a call or whatever...

So then what the hell. Post up a couple more of her. :p

Oh, like you don't cower before Sara...hehehehe...I know who the REAL boss is at your place...then again don't we all know who is really "the boss" at home...anything to maintain quiet when we are trying to watch TV.

Hey, where the heck is Sevan & his betta-half anyway? I am warming up Apu and he is dusting off the shelves at the Quik-i-mart...

Pt Conception Lighthouse:

Jalama Beach (really only interesting if we catch low tide and can hike north up the beach bit):

if you map them you'll see it's s long day to make both...

I will be available to lead local photosafaris ... the miniature horses are cute as a button and the vineyards are always great landscapes. Also have a possible trip into the National Forest that is full of photo-ops.

My 5dII can do the exact same thing, only difference is you spent the extra $$$$ for no reason! :p

Word of advice, try the same image but darken out the lights in the lower right this looks better IMO.

Robert, missed your note yesterday. I have to take the truck for maintenance tomorrow (Thursday) morning so will be without a car all day. Do you have email so we can take this offline? I also need to get your phone number into my phone, sigh. How can I be so busy ... I am retired!?

No camera wars by me. Sevan and his lowly 5Dii can have the glory. :p
But then again, my buddy Lowell can represent the 5Diii crowd. Not to mention I'm sure that Dwight probably already has at least one (if not two) of them.

I expect to be around the Friday before and Sunday after the BBQ for local photo tours ... this would be between the interesting murals in downtown Lompoc and the hills of the Los Padres National Forest and includes Solvang, Los Olivos, the Chumash Casino (for those who are interested), and wine country. Gary is still working on a shooting range but I'm not sure how that's going. Anyway, for the local photo tours I don't think anything needs to be decided before folks are here.

I do have a 5DMIII but haven't used it much. I am not one to compare/contrast bodies/lenses unless an issue presents itself so I can't tell you if there's much difference between the 5DMII and III. For those who haven't looked at my gear list (obviously Killjoy has not) I also have a 1DsMIII and two 1DMIVs ... and I have two 1DX's on pre-order so I may have one by the BBQ. If the discussion turns to differences between the 1DMIII and 1DMIV I do have opinions, but since you guys generally don't go there I don't see the point. :-)

Actually Dwight, I'm not one for matching uh, lists shall we say. I was just giving Sevan back a little of his own medicine.
And no I have never checked your gear list. I didn't have to. I know you always have multiple copies of the latest and greatest, as well as having had the pleasure of seeing the gear in your office and your studio.

And for Sevan, I'll take the Digic 5+ over the Digic 4, the useable 102,400 ISO, and the 61 focal points over the 9, the 6 frames per second over the 3.9, the seven stop bracketing for HDR (need I go on?) any day.

I'm done here.
