More work means more money for your family Ian. I have been reading the forums for the last day or so. I ran across a comment where it echos your sentiment. If one was not after action shot much. A T4i is a good contender as they share a lot of similar components. For me I was after the weatherseal (Canadian weather) and metal body. another reason why I shy away from 6D plus slow. Besides the difference in price will get me a UWA as well. Yeah you got that right. It was heavy, and when you mate that with the 100-400mm, it's gonna be a workout. :D

Congrats on your new toy.

+1, congrats ian, good choice! t4i has better noise mgmt compared to 60D (from what i heard) :)

So here are some random shots while testing out the 650D / T4i. Not really much as I just pointed and shot using the P Mode since I'm still familiarizing with the controls.

SOOC - ISO 4000 -f4 - 1/100
at ISO 4000 i can barely see some noise. with my old 450D, this photo would have been grainy

SOOC - ISO 6400 -f4 - 1/50
at ISO 6400, noise is creeping in.

so far, i'm loving the performance and the weight of this baby. it's now easier for me to do portrait shots of my baby and at 5fps, i think it's already good shooting him while he's at the playground running. and the video is awesome too! although i would have to get the 18-135 STM lens for that autofocus while doing video

Yea, I kinda missed on the PPing. I thought the neutral look would work.
