aka Camp Robber ...a few shots of this great little jay. We don't get them here but they are regulars about 4 hours from here at Algonquin Park and are also North East of here in Quebec...some of them have bands and a fellow at Algonquin is on his 40Th year of banding and documenting them.

Awesome series of shots, very well done.

Their eyes resemble the tufted titmouse we have around here.

Nice series, Gary. At lunch once in Colorado, these birds would swoop down from their perch and walk around on our table, grabbing any food left unguarded.

Very pretty shots, Gary. I've never seen them around here.

That's a lot of aka's! But he sure is beautiful. And so are your shots of it. Love the head turn in the last. Great work, Gary.

The last one is my favorite, but too bad about the distracting bands. Great birds though.

Pretty shots of a gregarious bird of the deep forest Gary... I would guess by the colorful banding he was easy to "grab"... ;) When I had a pair or two around here, I carried pieces of summer sausage in the woods and they landed in my hand until the "larder" was empty....

Hence the "camp robber" moniker !!! Very friendly bird ! Wonderful photos.... don't see any around our home, but at my in-laws on the French River, they are quite plentiful. I'll have to try to get some pics when I'm up there next !!
