Here are a few recent favorites of mine. All were taken in my yard with the MP-E.

An ant tries to figure out what it did right in this life to happen upon this mountain of honey someone carelessly left on the ground.

As I was trying to get a better angle on this shot, I scraped some paint off the house onto this poor ladybug. Note: it's worth buying the lens hood for the MP-E just so you can get away with this sort of mistake without hurting anything expensive.

Another shot where it has to go through the bother of cleaning up my mess.

I have only seen three types of jumpers on my property. I think this species is my favorite.

This glassy-winged sharpshooter was being very uncooperative, and then suddenly, it took flight and landed on the knee of my jeans. I was able to get off several shots while it posed politely.

I notice some damage on the MP-E lens due to your collision. I have PM'd my address, i will give it a thorough clean and check over, waiting times vary but i would expect it back around 2018:D

Seriously, i aspire to this, that moth, wow. It has Liz Taylors Mink Coat on.

Splendid series. :)
The Jumper looks particularly concerned about the damage to your lens. :(

Thanks for the comments, guys. I should clarify, my lens is still in perfect condition, because I do have the lens hood! I have scraped it against stucco, concrete, wood, and dirt, and the hood has protected the expensive bits every time. Three cheers for the lens hood! The downside is that it can block the light a tad at 4:1 and greater, but I'm willing to live with that given my clumsiness :)
