Well not sure if I like this type of photography (got bitten 3 times lol) but it sure is fun lmao. Think I stuck to the rules, wild birds, no pp except for resizing was their any others ? I tell you something though, I have learnt things today doing this. Some birds have amazing eyes and body parts lol.

Mitcon, these images are so damn good that they may well start an independent Bird Macro Forum (cum Bird Wrestling) of its own. Now you might understand why I sometimes think of you as Mitcon the Avian.:D

Incidentally, did you use that EF MP 65 Macro lens for these shots ? Didn't have the Bigma to defend yourself, eh ? I do not think we should try to induce you to try emu or ostrich macros though. ;)

Those emus are bloody dangerous....whatever they might lack in size compared to ostriches, they more than compensate for it thru insanity...just look at those eyes.
Mitcon, you are one brave man.

lmao Peter this Emu certainly was insane, that crazy look in it's eyes was lust. Dang thing kept trying to mate with me, dangerous is right hahaha. I've not been able to face an Emu (or tthe general public lol) again since.

Hmmm Mitcon......Your excellent photographic oevre clearly shows that you do know your birds. However, it has just bethought me to ask miself " How far would Mitcon really go with his birds if that splendid shot depended on it ?"

Similar "experiments" must have gone on in the past: the griffins come to mind......;)
