I really agree this behind the band shot is fantastic! Did you use a flash? The light on the guitarists face makes the picture so good.

Thank you. No flash, if you look at the second picture with the guitarist and singer you can see the lights at the back of the stage. Those are what lit the guitarist. Took many shots from back there and just picked the ones with best lighting.

All you can do is try. My newspaper is in a very small town and does not pay me well at all, but they always make an attempt to get me credentials for almost anything I ask for so that is the main reason I'm still there.

So I'm shooting a new venue in Reno, Nevada USA called The Saint. Nice little club close to downtown but all they have are 2 green and 2 blue LED's to light the stage which creates a low light and colored light nightmare. Didn't bring a flash and I don't like to use them to begin with but it's going to be a must I guess. Shot most of the shots with my 85m f1.2 wide open just to get exposure at a decent shutter speed. After extensive work on getting them right I finally gave up and just processed them in B&W. The band is Mojo Green a local funk band that kicks ass every time...
