I will say that it is outperforming my 5DsR for that purpose. I've been shooting a lot with some faster primes that are spoiling me. f/1.2 & f/1.4 are So much faster than even f/2.8 that I struggle with anything slower, 4 to 6 times more light is a lot over an f/2.8 and 8 to 10 times over f/4.0 is astronomical in very low light situations. You might prefer your 70-300 over the 70-200 for wildlife, usually there is enough light outdoors and the extra focal length may be more important. I prefer my 100-400 over the 70-200 for wildlife work. Regardless your shots of these artists are fantastic! Can't wait to see more... I now shoot concerts with 5DIV & 5DIII. I made the decision to keep the 5DIII for better overall focus flexibility but regret it. The 6D images up to ISO 12,800 were relatively easy to clean up, and my favorite body for small dark venues. I was hoping the 6DII would match or better its predecessor, it seems to be not the case.

What kind of event is this? I see the BBC banner in the background. It was a BBC Introducing event. They promote new bands and get them on the radio as well. That night was three bands and was free to attend. The guys in Malmesbury who were organising it also organise Boondocks Festival in the summer. I'm part of the volunteer crew for that taking pictures for it.

They rocked it very late, I left at 2:am because I had an hour drive to get home so I don't know when they stopped but the crowd was still strong. 2. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/21Gu5mh 3.
