Did a super cold portrait shoot with Nicole.

It was very challenging to shoot in the freezing cold and would have liked a little bit of sun to play with but what can ya do.

Would appreciate some critique on posing/lighting/composition.

The creativity side and your skill with the camera is showing here. Nice moods, DOF, Focus, framing and composition, lighting is good. Your B/W's are very good.

Very nice set of image.
Is location Bear Mountain of Cali? We usually have more that 300 days of sun shine with or without snow. I guess this is a different Bear.

Thanks - this one is Bear Mountain in upstate New York :)

I wanted to hike up a trail to have a great view but it rained the day before and the trails were a bit muddy...next time!

Love this look and the post processing. Especially the B&W. Can you give some detail around the set up and lighting?

Thanks - the set up isn't anything crazy.

The photos either have:
one softbox on one side and a bare flash on the other
one softbox on one side and a reflector on the other
or
one softbox only

I had two speedlites inside the softbox (bungee cord since my multi-speedlite bracket didn't come in time) but i found it was unnecessary since it was cloudy and didn't need that much power to overpower the sun.

The outfits where she is wearing a white tank top and suspenders, those are just with one softbox only.

Hope that helps!
