yeah, was looking at the 85 and 100 2.8, both are in my price range and will probably be added over time, which is one reason why I asked in the 1st place, already having the 50, if there's not a huge diff between that and the 30, would I be better served to go with say the 85 to add to my options for now? so many choices... I want them all.

I use these with both crop cameras and full frame (7D and 5DII currently). I have some personal preferences such as the 28mm and 50mm are more useful to me on croppers, and the 135 on FF. But these are just my own preferences, you and other folks probably have your own preferences. Alan Myers

Mar 06, 2012 13:42 | #7 that explains the listing at the bottom of replies. figured it was a measuring johnsons thing. just got a T2i, unfortunately with kit lenses, have added the 50 and a 18-135. really liking urban photography, but just getting into it, so not sure what would be a good lens to add, or if my interests will change for that matter.

If I get this comment, then no, it's actually not. I though so at first, but it is useful for people to put your questions and comments into perspective. Also good if someone wants to ask about a particular lens and/or setup. Edward Jenner
