It takes way too long to edit. Thank goodness for clone and healing brush...but this was still hard. Always watch her hair...and lens flares too.

Yup its a good point and a nice recovery of the offending photo!

We get a lot of windy days on our little island over here and its worse for group shots where your limited by the direction of the sun and background and then throw in some wind blowing from behind the group too and you have a nightmare getting one good shot of a group of girls when they have long hair that's not tied up.

This photo was almost ruined by her hair. It isn't the first time that has happened in photos, and I have thrown away some because of that.

Nice image. Yes you are absolutely right with the topic. It is better to prevent it and make sure the shot is perfect, I hate being 1h on a pic.

Great photo, Joey. I just had to pop into this thread to ask how you created the atmospherics here (white cloudy occlusions). Dangle a cotton-ball mobile in front of the lens ? haha. Or is this just pure flare weirdness ? It looks great either way and absolutely supports the mood of the content of the image.

edit: a closer inspection makes me suspect pure flare + rain drops on the lens.

My guess is he was shooting through some sort of white flowers/plants.

Trees are in blossom, shot through blooms (fruitless cherry-type).

Good recovery! Yeah, hair up the nose isn't the most flattering thing. :)

I do however notice there's still a spot where the hair was cloned out. Almost looks like some kind of birthmark.

Tsk...oh well, won't be noticeable in 99% of prints because of contrast and small detail, plus eyes writing things off.

Yeah, you are right. It's hardly noticeable. But it's there. Nothing a quick stroke in PS wouldn't fix, but no biggie, and again, nice recovery.
Personally, I might clone out that little amount of ray on her shoulder below his chin.
