Some of you may remember the thread linked below from almost exactly 2 months ago. Some might say I got a little carried away in my excitement.

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1133812

After seeing the Brown Creeper off and on for about 2 weeks after that thread, it seemed to disappear until today. As you will see in the 1st image, if hadn't been moving I would have never seen it. Even knowing that it was in the image, I had to look at it twice to find it. I was only able to snap 2 quick shots as it climbed the Pine tree and here's the best of those 2 images. My excitement has returned!

Very tough to see against the Pine bark.

A little easier after some PP

So now I will anxiously await round 3 in hopes of further improving on my captures of this sneaky little guy. Thanks for looking!

I have been trying to find a Yellow bellied Sapsucker here in Puerto Rico, but have come home empty handed. He's probably left by now, but hopefully one day I'll see him here. That makes it even more exciting the day we get lucky :-) Congrats on your second find.

I think it's only when you've gone after a certain species yourself, as I have with the Treecreeper, that you realise how hard they are to photograph. Very well camouflaged and they just don't stop.
That would be a good shot regardless Steve, all the more so when you know how hard they are to capture. Well done :)

Congrats, Steve, guess he's found a hangout! I have a slow internet connection and as the image materialized on-screen I couldn't see him until the last pixel had appeared ;)

They sure blend in well with the environment, but can't escape your sight. Good capture and hope one day it's inquisitive enough to pause for 0.00001 second for you take a picture of him. :D

Thanks again Mary, and I wish you luck with your hunt for the YBSS. I was lucky enough to nab one of those earlier this year too and shown here -

Rather be lucky than good sometimes jodelak. This time I was lucky; and appreciative of your comments.

His appearance back here simply delays my arrival in your neck of the woods Eric. Thanks for the gracious comments.

I appreciate it Mark. I too believe "it takes one to know one" and these guys test that theory to the max.

I'm flattered that he's still around Ian and glad to know I'm not the only one with "Creeper visualization deficit" . Your comments are greatly appreciated as always.

Thank you Mr. Craig. Excitement can keep us going, or addicted as the case may be, for quite a while.

Thanks Marco. All we can do is be as prepared as possible sometimes.

haha, I had to look three times at the first one to pick him out Steve. Man, good spotting on that one, you did well to actually catch him!
