Can anyone recommend any helpful photography books to read? I love reading and learning all about this art.

It depends on your skill level. If you're just starting out, Understanding Exposure is a great book. I'd recommend getting comfortable with shooting ambient light before jumping into those other books which deal with flashes.

A second on this one. Once you read it and then go out to shoot, you'll raise your shooting by a full level. Look at the pocket field guide, which has the same info in portable form.

The Speedliters Handbook by Syl Areno is also great. You'll be surprised how much you can improve shots with a speedlite instead of an on-camera flash. I never use the on camera flash any longer.

What are you trying to learn? What kind of stuff do you like to shoot? Skill level?

lots of good suggestions here, I think you'll get some more direct suggestions with a little more guidance on what you're wanting to get out of it....

I am not a beginner and have read understanding exposure and understanding shutter speed by Bryan Peterson, and yes they are great books. I've also read a lot by Scott kelby as well. I guess I'm looking for something that's interesting as well as entertaining and informative

I have found The Photo Workshop series to be quite helpful.

Each volume is dedicated to a specific aspect of photography (Composition, portraiture, lighting, exposure, etc.). You can buy them on Amazon.

Pick up some of Galen Rowell's books then. Inner Game of Outdoor Photography and Galen Rowell's Vision are both based on his columns in Outdoor Photography and are loaded with excellent thought-stimulating ideas.
