awesome shot! The horizon worked itself into the lower 3rd as well, which most definitely puts a nice finishing touch to the whole capture, love the feeling of motion in it, good job.

if i wanted to be REALYYYYYYYYYYYY picky I would suggest cloning out the bush that touches that one wheel to get a better composition with regards to positive and negative space, for me personally the break between the horizon and the plane would REALLY frame it between the darker sky above and the ground below.

Wish i was able to get close to our runway.

I might add that i think this bird paid a visit to RAAF Edinburgh recently or one with similar markings.

Note.. Do your P3 usually leave jacking lugs on after maintenance? Just noticed above APU door what looks like a jacking point still on?

Peter....I haven't flown P-3 since 1989 but for the most part the answer is yes. Tie down chains are attached to them when not being "jacked".

We only use them when jacking but are carried on board if needed. Every little bit counts when it comes to cost saving and the overspending (on everything but defense) Australian government.
