What a stupid thing that I have done! Two weeks ago out of the blue I thought that maybe I should buy the educational version of LR3 when I was still a student. Then I got it. But now I noticed that there is LR4!

I was looking for a way to upgrade LR3 to LR4 with educational discount. It's not easy to find on abode's website. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks!

There has not been an "upgrade discount" -- you just pay the normal upgrade price, which is about what you paid for the original.

Adobe has been messing around with lower prices, so check on how much the educational package for LR4 is!

Maybe not.

Check out this link. I think he got the free up-grade to LR4 even though he bought the Student/Teacher Edition of LR3.

Good luck.

I am going through a similar situation right now.

I recently bought LR3 while it was on sale at B&H. Just ordered the LR4 upgrade from B&H, and then I read that I might be able to get it for free from Adobe. My case is now pending. Hopefully they will allow the free upgrade, and I will return the un-opened one to B&H.

Call Adobe customer service.
If you bought it 2 weeks ago, they "should" give you the upgrade for free.
Otherwise, I'd see what the return policy is.

You guys are right. I'm calling Adobe. After a long time of waiting and uploading the receipt of my purchase, now that representative is going to give me a free download link for LR4!

Oops, a download link is not available. They have to ship it to me and charge me for the shipping cost.
