Ok, today was probably the best day I have had in this whole thing. I ended up just over 900 calories under my goal of 2200 net, so that is amazing! Then I added 3 new weight exercises in as well as 2 miles on my bike before heading to the gym. Still did my 20 minutes of swimming after. I also was able to keep my heart rate up during the weights as I moved quickly from one exercise to the next. I am now ready for bed to start again tomorrow. Its a basic pool day tomorrow and I hope I can do my 60 laps.

Oh and a bonus, I didnt have a cigarette today.

Good job pee.

My back went out. I'm pretty sure the 45# weight used on the middle of my back for push-ups by my trainer did the damage. By the end of the 3rd set when exhaustion kills your form and ability to tighten all the muscles I think I herniated a disc in my lower back.

I'm still doing personal training, just doing upper body at the moment. My session tonight went pretty well.

Tonight I wasnt up for swimming but i went. I was for sure lower on energy. Tomorrow is gonna be a day off because hopefully my car will be ready to go after 4 months at the rebuilder. But back to the pool on Thur.

Also I was under my calorie goal for 2 days in a row. Things are still going great!!

Another bump!

Took my walk yesterday after three days of not walking (and I couldn't have that, heat index or no heat index), last time I walked my times increased by a whole minute (probably because of said heat/humidity, and it ain't even August yet) so I wasn't expecting to do my recent times of 31:30 to 32 minutes even on the bridge.

So, imagine my surprise when I checked my stopwatch at the end of my walk and saw...31:04. 31:04? WHAAAAAT?:D

(To put it in perspective, when I first started this regimen in March it took me 40 minutes to walk 1.8 miles. Now I'm walking 2.2 miles and I'm dropping towards 30 minutes? I'm not arguing!)

My brother called me Thursday and during our brief conversation I told him I was down to 195 pounds. He asked me how much weight I lost and I told him-40 pounds.

"How much did you weigh when you started this?"
"235."
"Please tell me you're lying."
"Nope."
"Daaaay-yum..."

Well, one or two rest days can be all you need to reach a new platform in your training. It is quite common to suddenly drop significant amount of time for the same route after a short break.

Well, I was glad something was going right...my weight loss had stalled at 193-195, was actually starting to creep back up to 197...WTF?

Time to review...what aren't you doing that you were doing before?

Not walking every day due to weather/time constraints...yup. Gotta work that (though alternating 100+ days with heat index/multiple thunderstorm days do that).

Not hydrating like you used to every day (minimum 50-60oz water a day)...yup. Gotta do that.

Late dinners because you're waiting for the temps to drop so you can walk so you don't eat until way after 8 PM? Gotta watch that. (Read an article about how you shouldn't do that because your body digests food best when you have at least 10-12 hours between dinner and breakfast, so I'm trying to adhere to it).

Snacking on Mentos during work hours cause you're bored? STOP THAT!:lol:;)

We'll see how my adjustments work over the next two weeks (I was hoping to be at 189 by now [BMI=28]).

Hit the scales this morning and Im at 387.4. I am right there at 20lbs down. Just 2.4 to go. Woot!!!!

Now time for my 3 egg beaters and protein shake for breakfast while I edit photos from yesterday at the track.

Kick it, Peeaanuut!

Of course I'm going for it...I've got meds to drop!

Took my walk again this evening and dropped another four seconds...best time is now 31 minutes even! (I wasn't the only one out walking this evening, quite a few families were out strolling...and having to get out of my way! "Break right, y'all!")
