Out of all those photography magazines, which ones are the better ones? I wanted to get a couple but really don't know which one or maybe 2.

Depends what you are looking for.

Popular Photography and Digital Photography are similar. Both kind of generic gear oriented magazines. They have some articles on projects/techniques.

Outdoor photography is like popular photography and digital photography with an outdoor/wildlife slant.

American Photography is more about the photographers and their work. It displays work of prominent photographers. This magazine doesn't really have guides in it either, almost more of a trade magazine telling about the artists. This magazine also comes out less frequently than than the other ones, maybe only once every 2 or 3 months, I don't remember exactly.

Popular Photography is kinda fun to glance through if you get the subscription cheap enough but it's really nothing too special. Most of the information you can find in more detail online and it's a lot of gear stuff in there. But it's still nice to have when it's so cheap if you're a magazine kind-of person.

Outdoor Photography I actually enjoy a little more. A lot of gear info and a lot of generic tutorial stuff but I find at least some useful stuff in each one, and some nice pictures in there to. I think it's worth getting for the right price

I get most of these from one deal or another, but I have to say that if you are interested in seeing photos then I suggest American Photo. I have been very impressed with that magazine's photos and the stories that go along with them.

I like to flip through all of them, there is usually an article or two that interests me. For the money, you can't really go wrong with any of them.

I used to like Pop Photo - but now I think it has too much stuff i don't care about (i.e. too much non-DSLR) that I now end up skipping over

and most of these bargains don't apply to Canadians...
