Forgot to mention, that those came out great!. Mine were decent but ill be back there in just a few to see if I can improve.

I'm going to have to look through my pics to find you. We're you using a tripd/monopod with ur lens?

at first I was using a monopod, but then my back gave out. I was sitting in a camping chair (not the stool guy, lol). My wife was sitting in the sand next to or in front of me. I was near the asian guy with what appeared to be a 300 2.8.

Remember the guy with the 600..? He's just about a few feet away from the guy.

Aha...I saw you but didn't took a shot. I was telling Butch "show me your photographers" while I was taking a few shots of the photogs that were close to us.

Anyways, I can't resist my Tee time this morning and felt guilty not shooting ;);) today's event. If anyone can post pic that would be great and who came out the winner.

Found you on my of my shots, Joe... And I think that asian guy was shooting with a 600mm... At least that's what Pat could decipher... Anyhoo... Hope we can meet up soon...

Nice shots as always Patrick, that 70-200 with extender gives great results. I shot a few from the pier Saturday as I only had about 30 minutes of parking on main street. Water sure was green, from what I saw and from your photos the quality of surfing was excellent for the small swell.
