Well...did you mean for the saturation to be really low? It almost comes off as one of those B&W with colorsplash dealies that people like to do. Its a really good picture very sharp...I would not mind seeing it with more color.

Can't say I'm a fan of the selective color/desaturation here.

It was kind of flat to begin with so I tried bringing out the plane...that must contribute to the low saturation in the background I guess. I did desaturate the background a bit because it had a bluish tint that I couldn't get rid no matter what I did. Thanks

You might try a B&W conversion and make the plane pop out of the BG.

It's painted Sea Blue on purpose...

I also think a B&W conversion with a high contrast red filter will make the CoNA Prowler pop more.

You might also consider a 1:2 crop. Lots of dead sky above and empty ramp below.

The gold is gone from the canopy is missing and the Red from the "Pre Pearl harbor" stars are missing

Oh My!!! WOW! THAT CAME OUT PERFECT!!!!! Thinking you should blur it some more and put some scraches on it and mabe a coffee ring from a coffee mug.... Seriously!!! NO JOKING at all in this thread (It does sound a bit crazy...but the coffee ring? that would be awesome!)
