ok i shouldve played aroudn more before i post.... this is an issue when you have dual monitor setup and your secondary monitor is turned on.... going between LOUPE and GRID.. seems like your last image that your mouse pointer HOVERED over, is stuck in nav preview ... u need to NOT hover around in grid mode and have your image selected... then navigator preview works.

basically you select the image on the second monitor and then u whip the mouse pointer so it doesnt register / hover over another image hahahha

Right-click on the icon for "secondary window" and try some of the other options there. You may find the one that you're used to isn't what is selected. As far as I can tell, nothing is different between LR3 and 4 with regards to the navigator and the secondary window.

It sounds like another trip to the Bug Report place!

What might help is if you can do screen shots that show LR "misbehaving"...

I'm glad I found this thread - the navigator image that did not show preset preview as well as correct image was driving me nuts.
