Did my first wedding couple of days ago... geez it sure has been a eye opener for me.
The plan was to sneak out of the reception alone with the couple for 30 minutes ended up with a whole group of 12 people with all kinds of personalities and ideas..

Overall I am reasonably happy with the out come but the one thing I would do differently next time is preparation of what kind of photos your aiming to do and keep as much people out of the equation.

Would love to hear you guys C&C of these photo's.

I like the personalities of the images. Only c+c would be watch your exposure. Some were over/under.

Mostly way over exposed and soft.

Nothing worthy of being paid for.

Thank you for your comment! I completely agree with you in regards with the exposure. The sun was at it's top and it was pretty much running and gunning. If I had the time I would done things differently.

Completely agree with you there. Forgot to mention that this was a friends favor and I am absolute not a professional photographer.

Thanks for the comment!

1. I like your instinct here. Good contrasting colors and the message kind of works. I definitely would have shot a lot wider, though, to provide context.
2. Light isn't so good here. If the side of his face is going to get a little blown out, might as well blow out a little more so that most of his face is exposed well. I might have waited for a different moment.
3. You shot in direct sun, which may be alright and sometimes is necessary. Were you using a hood ? You have flare in the shot as a result--note no blacks in the image. A slight levels or curves adjustment can bring this back.
4. Over-exposed a little; the background is lost here; and they seem kind of awkward in the pose. Shots with movement are usually awkward so I'd advise taking multiple shots and selecting the best.
5. Under-exposed. Front-most subject has his eyes closed.
6. Good colors in the background. Not sure I like him overlapping her face like this--especially with the glasses.
7. Over-exposed with massive flare (again, note no dark tones). I think this might be the best shot of the batch if a little care is taken in post-processing.

Mostly they're just over exposed. I like blowing out the background to properly expose the subject, but most of your shots are over exposing the subject as well.
