So I ordered a refurbed ipad 2 from apple, since it's super discounted because of the "new ipad." I live in northern BC, and it's coming from China. Left China on the 9th, and yesterday was in Alaska. Great! Today it left Alaska, and did it stop in BC? No - it's now in Tennessee. ??:lol:

Is there a method to this madness? Just wondering!

FedEx has a main shipping hub in Memphis. Maybe it's going through the hub before going to BC. In the early days of FedEx, if I shipped something from southern california to southern california via FedEx overnight, it would still go through the memphis hub.

Everything coming into and out of the US goes trough Memphis.
The stop in Alaska was just to refuel the plane.

Now Canada isn't America, but it is North America and it's likely that from a logistics view point they consider it all the same.
It will next get on a plane to your nearest hub, then onto a delivery truck.

Be interesting to see where it goes from Memphis.

Absolutely everything shipped from or to the Western Hemisphere goes through Memphis, TN.

Never saw Tom Hanks in Castaway? :D
