All of the sudden (maybe since upgrading to Lion?) photoshop crashes when trying to open .cr2 files. It will open .jpeg files with no issues. I do have Camera Raw 6.6.0.261 installed.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I have the crash report if anyone would find that useful...

*edit* Also, Lightroom opens .cr2 files just fine.

Well, one thing you can try is to close Bridge and then press Ctl+Shift as you restart it, and pick one or more of the options and see if that doesn't help. Other than that trying to re-install...? If you do try to re-install, deactivate Photoshop first.

I'm not using Bridge. I'm either opening the .cr2 files directly from the finder window, or the open window within Photoshop.

I've tried uninstalling, but that didn't work. Really confused here.

Does this happen with your 5DII and your T2i raws or one or the other? I can open my 5DII raws directly from the open menu in PSCS5 with no problem, using the same version of the Camera Raw plug-in that you have specified, in Lion 10.7.3.

I do not own my T2i anymore (I guess I should remove it from my gear list). Yes, using the same version of Lion. Weird.

If you want to, send me a raw file that you cannot open and I will try it on my system. PM me.
