Pro 1 and 2 field.

The eventual winner from Team Type 1. He took advantage of the mass supports from the strongest team and tagged alone when the opposing team decided to send in the re-enforcement to the 2 men break. The opposing team that did most of the work and started the break on the get-go didn't even place top 3. Very disappointing.

As a side note, I saw another photog walking around with a press pass. That strikes me as odd since NYC races haven't gotten that big yet that the organizer would issue media credentials. What was more ignoring that he was asking me what was going on with the race or races? "Is it over?" "Where is the podium?" "Who won?" "This is racing?" LOL I smiled at him and left him be. He was well under equipped.

I also decided to allow my 5markII to tag along. The body was fast enough for the women's race. Other than that, I had to "wait" for the mirror to flip back down to fire another shot. By that time, I missed about 10 riders already.

Good stuff. Love the postup! That's the money shot in my book. Pretty sure that Cycling Captured shot that race as well. I've run into press photogs at races, like the Chicago Tribune for example. I answer their questions and chat with 'em for a while. Never hurts to make new friends.

Thanks. Yeah, I guess I have too much POTN rubbed into me...GWC with a media credential. Yeah, Anthony was there and he was actually on an assignment.

Wait a minute..you are talking about one of the NoTubes riders with a headcam??? :) I thought you were talking a GoPro team. Unfortunately, not much has been posted about these in race footage. Not sure what was the purpose. Training? Tactics studies?

Victor, maybe that guy had a NYC Media pass? I don't think the event was issuing anything. I'm pretty sure professional photogs need a City media credential to take photos of pretty much anything in the city.

I didn't ask. I just assumed he was one of those GWC with a questionable media pass that would supposedly give him the permission to shoot photos. He looked so out of place I just didn't even bother. He didn't even greet me and just went out rambling about a bunch of questions and I was supposed to answer him. :) He was shooting with a 100-400L and a maybe 50d. No flash. A school backpack. I am not a bad person but considering there were photogs in every corner of the course. I have to be sure I am up in my game here.

How do you guys like this look? Some cross-color effect adding a bit of film element feel to it. Normally, I am not a big fan of these "effects" with cycling photography. They often add too much post processing work and time of my turn around time. I thought the following is interesting.

Victor, this cross-color shot looks like the rest of them. Did you upload the wrong one? How do you like AJ's kit? Pretty colorful isn't it?

Hahahah...that's funny. :) Yeah, I was being conservative with the color. It is supposed to be bright orange and blue/cyan crossed. I reversed it and it has the consequence of making the ground more natural looking. Before, it was all bright yellow from the sun. The color was "hot" considering the sun was at their backs and I was shooting them from the side.

This year kit trend, at least in NYC, is pretty much blue. The rainbow strips on the shorts? Is interesting but not sure why though. From a photography standpoint, is nice and easy to expose and capture. Is a **** trying to expose kits with white and black....:) Or either or. And throwing in riders with a darker skin complexion with it.

Here is one of the footages. Someone needed to edit the clip, is over 40 minutes long.
