so after not even two days of owning my 5dc, the mirror falls out :/ the seller had said it had been done. i also noticed this problem happening before it fell out
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=910945
i had also gotten a few black images after taking some pictures or extremely dark corners.

i feel like i should return it to the seller for the sole purpose that he lied and it said it was done, but i just love this camera even only being able to use for such a short amount of time:(

I'd definitely try and get a refund for it.
Although it is a common problem, the seller shouldn't have shipped it to you in that condition.

In other news, I got the EE-S focus screen for my 5D - manual focusing is so much easier now!

You can always send it to Canon. I'm pretty sure they'll fix it for free.

My 5D classic mirror fell off/apart on me just last last week, I called Canon UK (Elstree) and they are fixing it for free etc, Canon kindly emailed me a free 'UPS' post which I printed off and dropped into my nearest UPS drop off/collection point, nice...!

Very helpful to talk to over the phone. The turn around period to repair the 5D Mk1 mirror problem is about 10 days or so...

Great customer service Canon, thank you.

from a recent sunset. tried something a little different than usual. Used a cool to warm gradient on the photo, left to right respectively.

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.
