I'm looking forward to another body with video so I don't always have to lug the 60d around as well. Bonus for using the same batteries! I hope I love the files like I love the 5D files. Let me know how you like the 6d- especially in comparison to the 5d classic... I'm considering the same move. Canon 5D3, Sigma 35 1.4, Sigma 85 1.4, Canon 50 1.8, Canon 430 exii, yn- 560 ii, triggers

Well I picked up the 6D today and I'm liking it. I haven't done much shooting with it yet, hopefully tomorrow but here are some initial impressions. ~Steve~

I haven't done much shooting with it yet, hopefully tomorrow but here are some initial impressions. - the shutter is much quieter. Not quite as quiet as my 60D but doesn't have that same "thunk" as the 5D. - the rear screen is gorgeous compared to my old 5D mind you I had one of the earlier ones with the green tinted screen. - it's smaller than the 5D but doesn't really feel that way. - I had a grip on the 5D that lived on the body and felt amazing but I'm not too sure about the 6D grip. The 6D grip is about 5mm wider so it feels too big in my hands which is a shame because I love shooting with a grip. It's the same with my 60D just a bit too big. - viewfinder seems identical to me in brightness and clarity - I don't miss the joystick but I do miss the dual function top LCD buttons. - I think I'm still going to miss the 5D but I needed video. I hope that helps a bit. Much appreciated! That rear screen is tempting me as well. Canon 5D3, Sigma 35 1.4, Sigma 85 1.4, Canon 50 1.8, Canon 430 exii, yn- 560 ii, triggers

I feel like I'm having a massive brain fail right now. Those are the buttons I'm referring to. I think the files from the 5Dc are easier to clean up as well. The outer focus points seem to be more accurate and work a bit better too. ~Steve~
