Nice work, Daniel. Were you at the island for an event, or for shopping at the crafts shops?
Thanks for sharing....Joe

Hi, Daniel,

I did not have any particular event in mind. I knew that the island has become quite popular for so many things. I wondered if perhaps you were just visiting or were there for some concert or the like.

Again, nice shots....Joe

What I wish was brighter, was the display info inside the viewfinder.

Odd. It's bright and clear in my 5D.

I wouldnt have issues with 12x18, but if I needed a super high res mural, I'de plan to stitch in advance. If viewing distance is far, like a billboard, then no stitching needed.

Myboostedgst had asked about how large a print did people feel comfortable with out of the 5D. I thought the question concerned the resolution of the sensor and thus did the 5D sensor size cause a problem with super large prints.

I guess there are so many variables .... Joe

I'm thinking for portraits. I don't print many photos, but if I start to do portraits I am sure people will want prints.

Andrew, you have a point. When I do take what amounts to a portrait (e.g. a close up, usually outdoors) after what I consider a modicum of post processing, the result is pretty good, I think. There are many methods to soften the look, or to make the look crisp.
I am anxious to hear from our members here who have an interest in portrait photography. Thanks in advance....Joe
