I just love that the 5DC files just come out good, a bit of tweaking for things like highlights and shadows, sure, a bit of tweaking for sharpening and possibly some noise reduction, sure, but the outcome with the 5DC is as a whole SWEET!!!!!

I bought my first DSLR this week. I started with m4/3 and still love to use my Minolta lesnes on my G6. But I wanted to try "full format" an I found a great deal on a 5D with grip, 32GB +4Gb+4Gb memorycards+grip.
So coming from EVF and full zoom capability in VF i realize there is a learning curve focusing. So I got the 50/1.8 II and i love the feeling I can zoom in at 100% and have a sharp picture with no noise. I will post some images here soon.

Congrats!

If the 5d had a screen equivalent to that of a modern one (7d/60d/6d/etc.) I would have no other reason to choose a body over the 5dc.

I love the 5Dc & 50mm f/1.8 combo, even though my 50mm's AF is hit or miss.

And welcome to POTN. :)

Is this F 2.8? What's the distance? I haven't had a chance to take my new 100 out of the box yet...hopefully this week now that I have a break in school...

Yes, 100L max aperture is 2.8, but this one is 5.6.
No idea about distance, I just framed it in VF.
Are you sure you need this lens ?;)
My was on camera as soon as I get it home. :D

Yeah I was asking about this particular image - this is 5.6? Tight DOF for 5.6! And yes, I've had this lens on my wish list for years. I plan on taking it out this week as I have finished all my university classes until mid-October. Three weeks of free time to kick the tires off my new 1DX and macro lens. :D

Nice images! This thread makes me regret selling mine, and almost puts me in the market to pick another one up. The images are simply amazing.
