Like he ^ says. Don't overestimate the automatic sensor cleaning. I have one on my 1D and to me it does not work verywell.

True. The lack of it on the 5DC is actually not a great omission.


5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.

No, that doesn't work for me. If I get dirt on my 5D sensor here a Rocket Blower won't shift it. Luckily it doesn't happen very often now, though it used to be a major issue before I developed a safer lens changing technique, but I used to use a Sensor Swab daily. TBH the Rocket Blower was a waste of money - any dirt on the sensor here requires wet cleaning.

How long do your batteries last on your 5d? I got 3 of them when I bought the camera but they don't seem to hold their charge for very long so I was thinking of grabbing a couple of the aftermarket ones
