The Canon 5Dc is compatible with EF -lenses only, so it doesn't have to be an L-lens. But your sigma 10-20 won't fit the mount.

thanks alot! :) would you happen to know if the 1d classic fits the sigma?

I decided that I love mine so much that it is going to the repair shop tomorrow and then fingers crossed they are able to fix it for a resonable price....

That Sigma lens is probably a DC lens, not a DG therefore it will not work on any full frame or 1.3 crop. Only Sigma DG lenses will correctly mount to a full frame body or a 1.3 crop (1D series).

DC Lenses only work on a 1.6x (APS-C) crop.

Edit: DG lenses will mount to both Full Frame and Crop bodies.

My 5D will be back from having the mirror fix today. It's been a long week and a half.

EDIT: Bah. Stupid FedEx tried to deliver the camera while someone was at home, but they didn't knock.

A good photographer can take extraordinary photos anywhere, with any camera and any lens while a mediocre one will take mediocre ones everywhere, with every camera and every lens.
Never limit yourself with what others think you should do. Shoot what you find interesting, exactly the way you want to.

Just received mine today and will be playing with it in the days to come. One question, Does anybody know where I can get a battery door for it? It came with the BG installed and the door was not stored in the stowage receptacle in the grip. I like the grip with the L lenses but it's kind of burdensome with smaller glass so I would like the option of shooting without the BG in place. I can't post a wanted ad until I have 30 posts. Does Canon still carry this part?
