I have sold my Sony a7
Want to go back to the 5D classic
I really miss the picture of this old camera
there are concerns about the age of the camera, thought to 5D mark ii
can not decide which camera to buy. I 've had 3 pieces of canon 5D before and very satisfied
The consideration is just the age -?

Go for the 5D classic. I would if I were you. Age is not a real issue - I cant remember having ever read that somebody used the camera to the point of having to replace it because it was totally worn out. The only thing you get with the MkII is bells and whistles - but you WONT get the same image quality from the MkII that you get from the MkI classic. Just my personal opinion :-)

I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not too sure.

Still new to my 5D, but I've been enjoying it alot. Probably the biggest limitation of a 5d is the shadow noise, so I have found myself needing to overexpose a little bit.

This photo was take in Dungeness, near the huge nuclear powerstation. it is a hdr. Due to how bad the automatic hdr is in photoshop I had to manually blend pieces in photoshop(HOURS OF ARGHH), It was almost impossible to get the windows to look real.

Yeah exposing to the right is good practice with the 5D. The majority of RAW data is stored in the brightest 1/5th of the histogram so you're gonna get more detail if you slightly overexpose and pull back in post. Just be careful not to blow out any highlights. On those lines, the reason why I use a Neutral picture style is because the in-camera histogram is based on an embedded JPEG, and Neutral gets you the closest approximation to the RAW histogram.

Yup, same practise here. And mine's stuck on Neutral.
