The 5D just seems to put out the most natural but vibrant looking colors.

The biggest reason I don't like the 5d is for it's color. I would shoot with my xti and love how bright and colorful the output is, especially the reds, then I would shoot the 5d and have trouble getting color out of it to my liking. Sure wood, brass and antique(y) things look very nice on the 5d, but skin tones and reds just don't work for me.

Interesting. I have never had a problem with the skin tones. Especially compared to my 7D that I had and sold. Could just be personal preference.

No doubt that could be it. Obviously many weddings have been shot using the 5d that have come out stunning. It's also possible that I push the 5d a bit far when I use it maxing out iso which is harder to post process. The xti I never would push past iso 200 and would use OCF so the images never had much noise and held all the detail. Though I own a 5d and have used multiple copies of the 5d's in the past I haven't really shot much with a full lighting setup to compare output.

(possible NSFW content though it shouldn't show unless you are logged in to Deviantart) http://anhen.deviantart.com/gallery/ (external link) These aren't mine, just some inspiration/etc. All exif show 5D, I'm guessing it's accurate.

Have not looked at this thread for a while, and so I just spent the last 45 minutes catching-up. I'm again amazed at the images that this 10 year-old machine can produce - in the right hands, of course!

Two from me, from the last month or so.
