I don't want to neglect this thread - since I posted a flower pic in the MF Adapted Lens thread (my other favorite thread), I'd better post on here, too ;-)a

C/Y Contax 35-70 f/3.4. Probably shot at f/8, definitely shot at 35mm, probably just inside of the Macro Mode focusing range.

I've been to a number of events where there were several photogs, with Nikon shooters quite happy with their gear. This would go back to years like '07 and '08 before Nikon really picked up on their sensor design (I believe they inherited a lot from the Sony sensors Nikon used to use).

Anyway, I'd show up and a good time would be had by all, but there were several occasions where a Nikon shooter would "show off" his gear. My "workhorse" for such things would typically be the 1DMIII and typically with a 24-70 f/2.8 L, and there were folks who were familiar with those top-of-the-line performers and showed some respect...

But my walk-around kit was the 5DC typically with the 24-105 f/4L (that was and I believe still is the 5D "kit" lens) and even though it was getting on in years, people who knew "stuff" would quietly lower their Nikon kit and show the respect that the 5DC had earned.

And, we see here it is still proving itself to those who use it!
