I bought an iPad to USB adapter for my wife to connect her EOS M directly to the iPad, copy pics over and edit/post. You cannot use a card reader as the reader has to supply it's own power (ie camera battery) instead of pulling power thru the cord. So if you can do the mini USB plug into the camera, then hook up to the USB to iPad cord, that should work. Hope this helps!
