When taking pictures of white objects -- or any object with a bright background -- your camera will set the exposure to achieve average 18% gray. So you must up the exposure to get it right. Joe

Agree with Joedlh, you can try to correct the exposure and white balance in Photoshop but unfortunately not much can be done with such a shallow depth of field. Claire

The shallow dof was intentional, precisely what i was looking for - i will certainly check the white balance and exposure again in post Canon 7D 24-70L / 28-135mm / 55-250mm f4-5.6 IS / 50mm 1.8 II / Sigma 10-20 / 430 EX II Speedlight X 2 / Manfrotto 190XPROB

I would much rather see this in broad sunlight though. WB is off. These flowers came out through sunlight. Use that as your aid.
