Does anyone have recommendation on most have accessories? The best card for pictures/videos, hand strap w/o battery grip (for larger handed people). Things in that nature. -Thanks-

Don't get cheap cards/filters/tripods. That is my advice on accessories. You spend $1k on your gear, more or less, but you want to save a few bucks here and there on other useful accessories.

Tripod is always good to have. Look to spend around $300 for a decent one. Manfrotto 055xProB and 498RC2 head is a very popular combo.
For memory cards, I personally use Sandisk and Transcend. You want Class 6 or higher. But it might be worth it to check out the Sandisk 30mb/s SD cards. They are a little pricier but I love them. I have the 45 mb/s and they are good but not worth it and I only got them because Adorama had a sale on them.

RHChan nailed it -- don't go cheap on the accessories. Buy quality memory cards for sure. Not only will they potentially give you better performance (although the buffer in the camera is still the bottleneck in most cases), but more importantly they will be potentially more reliable. What could be worse than taking your new DSLR rig out and shooting a bunch of great shots, only to get home and have a read error? This is more likely with cheap cards, as often the unknown name brands are buying factory seconds and overruns to rebrand. This might be a bargain, might not.

Second, my advice is to buy a nice CPL filter in 77mm and buy step rings to fit your other lenses. I also like to put one of those collapsible rubber hoods on the front, especially as it gives you a "handle" for the outer polarizer ring. I suggest 77mm, as most of your future lenses will be 77, 72, 67, 58 or 52mm. Few lenses are bigger than 77m (there are a few though), so you'll get the most out of your expensive filters.

Third, seriously look into an external flash. You wouldn't believe the difference it makes compared to the built-in flash. I would suggest buying a slightly older, used mid or top level flash versus a brand new entry level (like a 550EX or 380EX instead of a 270EX). Just make sure it has ETTL, and it'll do wonders for your low-light shooting.

Extra Battery.

External flash is a great idea, the 430 EX II is excellent with the 60D, but somewhat expensive.

I personally don't use a hand strap, but the Luma Labs Cinch is a great body strap.

What he said is very true!

I concur that a 430EX II is a great acquisition. I use two wirelessly with my 60D very often, both indoors and outside.

I have been debating adding a second one...just not sure if I would use it enough. Although having a backup one when I use mine so much indoors might not be a bad idea.

what makes you dead set on a 60D? I am more than in love with a used 40D with a grip I just picked up..got one that was near mint with a grip and 5 batteries for $425 shipped..are you in need of the video function and other slight "advantages" of the 50D/60D? If not id save the money and put it towards a decent lens to start with(50 1.4,85 1.8 etc)..

What are you planning on shooting?

Since OP mentioned he/she was looking for the "best card for photos/video" Im assuming video is desirable.
