I was wondering if anyone had advice on using the ipad at a photography exhibit to showcase porfolio, in addition to the art hangaing. I'm donating a piece of artwork at a silent auction in May which will be hanging on a wall. I have an 8x8 sign for for my photography business that will also be on the wall. I'd like to find some way to hang my ipad on the wall & run a slideshow of my best images.

Does anyone have experience doing this? The best option I've found in temporarily hanging the ipad is the Wallee with the wall mount. They're currently working on modifying one for the new iPad.

P.S. I will be in viewing distance of my exhibit at all times & the Wallee lets you easily remove it from the wall.

Thanks for any advice.

You will probably find this link useful. I use velcro tape and a cheap clear TPU ipad case.

I bought a couple of enclosures so I could integrate iPads into my wedding show stand but they aren't cheap! although at least if your based in the USA you don't have to import them like I did.

Thanks, that was helpful!

Thanks, John. That looks like a great mount for permanent use. I'm looking for something temporary, though. A piece of artwork I'm donating will be hung in a silent auction for about 4 hours. I'm going to have to arrive before the auction opens so I can "quickly" hang it up.

Thanks for your idea.

I'd find a cheaper tablet to use than an Ipad. Should be able to score a used HP touchpad for $150-$200.

People pay high dollar for apple stuff. No way would I risk it.

If all you want is an automatically cycling reel of your best images wouldn't one of those cheap electronic picture frame/screens do the job just as well? a lot less painful if some idiot trips over, reaches out as they fall and pulls it off the wall.

Well, yes. But since I will have my first ipad this Friday, I want to show off my images the best way possible. I just found out my artwork will be on an easel with a table in front for my sign, cards, etc. Now I don't need a wall mount, just an attractive stand.

Thanks for your feedback.

my 1st wedding show, I had all kinds of prints in various sizes, framed/mounted/etc...
and a couple of laptops cycling on 2 monitors

by my 3rd wedding show, I still had the frames and stuff hanging around, but the laptops were replaced with a few digital photo frames - all cycling through the same pics, but all random - a lot easier to manage!
also I do use an iPad at the shows... but its been a while since last show
