I had a bit of a brain fart last night. The filter is 77mm so it won't fit the 16-35, so I've had to make do with my 24-70 at 24mm. Here are unaltered raw images shot with daylight white balance on an overcast day :-
1. Bare lens. Note the RGB values taken from the white paintwork on the house.
| HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'image/png' | Byte size: ZERO |
2. Zeta ND8 filter attached. Note the RGB values taken from the white paintwork on the house. They have all increased a little, but pretty much in step with each other.
| HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'image/png' | Byte size: ZERO |
3. LCW ND500 (9 stop) attached. Note the RGB values taken from the white paintwork on the house. There is a big shift to blue. Shooting 9 stops brighter actually blew part of the sky so I had to dial back to 8 2/3 to hold the sky. Even so it is still brighter than the other shots. This is no 9 stop filter.

4. 100% comparison of centre of frame between bare lens and Zeta ND8
| HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'image/png' | Byte size: ZERO |
5. 100% comparison of edge of frame between bare lens and Zeta ND8
| HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'image/png' | Byte size: ZERO |
6. 100% comparison of the closest I could get to a corner of the frame which was close enough to the plane of focus to be decently sharp with the bare lens.

Results might have been sharper if I'd remembered to use MLU. At least I used the self timer.
