Hi All,
Here's some of what I do when the sun wont shine. Fortunately we have these year-round up here in the Pac NW or Im not sure what else Id do to feed the bird addiction.I got hooked on shooting these about 5 years ago bought all the lights,etc but I've come full circle and found
I mostly like shooting them in overcast light now. Its certainly is much simpler than fooling with the flashes and a bunch cheaper too.There is one with flash though. All but one shot with the 300 f/4.Hope you enjoy.

Those are great Pete. Cant wait for my chance at some hummers close up when they show up. Only the first 2 images are showing the rest say "owner protected"

Those look really great, love the color and BG. How are you lighting them without flashes? The 1D3 is a body I have been thinking about getting in hopes of better IQ and ISO performance. Is it worth it over the 7D?


7D / 70-200 F4L IS / 400 5.6L / 50mm 1.8 / 18-55 Kit / CS5 plus other software.
